Randstad is partnering up with the offshore technology hub for a leading bank and they are looking for a VP, Team Lead - Group Retail Anti-Financial Crimes for their Operational Excellence Team. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, implementing transformation initiatives, and maintaining a robust risk and control environment across AFC (Anti-Financial Crime) Operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strengthening Controls & Reporting:
- Design and maintain a strong risk and control framework, working closely with the OET Lead on workforce management, reporting, and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure robust first-line control ownership and identify opportunities to implement process quality controls.
- Act as the key interface between AFC Ops and Group functions, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Deliver insightful operational metrics and reports to the Group Retail AFC Lead for governance and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, quality, and compliance.
2. Driving Organizational Transformation:
- Lead policy, process, and technology changes within AFC Ops, addressing control gaps and enhancing effectiveness.
- Oversee change performance, provide recommendations for improvements, and support global transformation programmes.
- Introduce and integrate new capabilities aligned with organizational goals and initiatives.
3. Building Stakeholder Relationships:
- Collaborate with AFC Ops teams, Group Compliance, and Group Technology & Operations to align efforts and achieve transformation goals.
- Provide regular updates on project and initiative statuses to management and stakeholders.
4. Leading Teams & Managing Resources:
- Oversee team performance, recruitment, training, and leave management, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
- Cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, growth, and excellence.
Requirements:
- Experience: 7–10 years in Financial Crime, Risk Assessment, or Quality Control within Financial Services, Banking, or Regulatory environments.
- Leadership: Proven track record in managing large transformation programmes and developing strategies that balance immediate priorities with long-term goals.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial crime risk and control frameworks.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and act independently.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to build partnerships and challenge constructively.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
