This role supports the Finance team’s daily operations for a leading bank across Asia. As a VP Finance Analyst, you will manage various financial operations, reporting, and compliance responsibilities to support sound financial management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Management: Oversee all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Financial Compliance: Review transactions and supporting documentation to ensure adherence to statutory and Group standards.
Cost Monitoring and Analysis: Support cost monitoring and control processes, providing analytical insights into actual expenses and budget variances.
Accounting and Reporting: Collaborate with the team to manage day-to-day accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, and ensure accurate reconciliations, ledger entries, and both Group and statutory reporting.
Management Accounts and Cash Flow: Prepare timely management accounts, cash flow projections, and complete necessary tax submissions and statutory filings.
Budgeting Support: Assist in annual planning and budgeting processes, contributing to accurate financial forecasting and alignment with organizational goals.
System and Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for system and process enhancements and assist in implementing improvements to optimize efficiency.
Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with internal and external auditors, tax agents, regulatory bodies, company secretaries, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
Ad-hoc Projects: Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Finance Director to support the broader Finance team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA) is highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Audit, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
Experience in a shared services environment is an advantage.
Proficiency with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle complex financial data accurately.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
