Job Description:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement the overall strategy and vision for the SSC, aligning with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead the SSC team in delivering high-quality financial and administrative services, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives, KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs) to the team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, presenting performance metrics, and providing insights for decision-making.
- Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the SSC, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, Procurement, General Ledger (GL), HR services, IT support, and other back-office functions.
- Ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions, maintaining adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and legal requirements.
- Implement and manage standardized processes, procedures, and systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and data integrity across the SSC.
- Monitor service delivery performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Team Development & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of professionals, ensuring a positive work environment and fostering career development opportunities.
- Manage resource allocation, ensuring the SSC is adequately staffed to handle current and future business needs.
- Implement training programs to upskill staff and improve competencies in key areas, including technology, compliance, and service excellence.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and digital transformation within the SSC to optimize service delivery and reduce costs.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies, tools, and systems, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption to operations.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the use of data analytics to inform decision-making and process enhancements.
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Develop and manage the SSC’s budget, monitoring expenses, and ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on SSC performance, including KPIs, operational metrics, and financial data, to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as a key point of contact for business units, ensuring effective communication and service delivery that meets the needs of internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments and business units to understand requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Handle escalations and resolve service delivery issues promptly, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
It'll Be Good If You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in Shared Services, Finance, or Operations.
Proven experience in managing large teams and complex operations within a Shared Services or SSC environment.
Strong understanding of financial processes (AP, AR, GL) and other back-office functions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, automation, and digital transformation.
