design, implement, and manage distributed systems that support data and machine learning engineering functions
lead the analysis, design, and development of secure, scalable data services, including estimating efforts and overseeing testing and delivery
develop microservices and API applications using Python-based web frameworks
manage and maintain a wide range of data storage solutions, including relational, NoSQL, object, and vector databases
utilize cloud platforms and services to optimize and expand platform capabilities
apply containerization technologies for seamless deployment and scalability

knowledge, skills and experience

bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline
at least 5 years of experience in a similar position with solid Python programming skills
technical experience working with various data storage solutions such as relational databases, data warehouses, and NoSQL databases
strong knowledge of application integration methods like request/response (e.g. REST HTTP, gRPC), message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS), Pub/Sub, webhooks, and stream processing (e.g. Kafka, AWS Kinesis)
experience in building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines
extensive understanding of cloud platforms and containerization tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
familiarity with technologies for developing and managing data pipelines (e.g. Dagster, Airflow) and integrating various data sources is a plus
