Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role will focus on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Category Finance, and Commercial Finance within our FMCG division. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights, contribute to strategic decision-making, and support the long-term growth and profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

FP&A & Financial Reporting:

Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the assigned category, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
Provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Support the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, collaborating with business leaders and category managers.
Analyze and interpret financial data to support senior management decision-making.

Category Finance Analysis:

Own the financial performance of the assigned category, providing deep insights into sales, cost structures, and profitability.
Evaluate financial performance across different product categories and geographies, ensuring alignment with business strategy and targets.
Develop and maintain financial models for category performance, ensuring robust tracking and reporting of KPIs.
Perform profitability analysis to optimize product mix, pricing strategies, and cost efficiencies.

Commercial Finance Partnership:

Collaborate with the commercial and sales teams to provide financial insights that drive business growth and profitability.
Support pricing strategies, promotions, and trade spend management, ensuring alignment with financial targets and profitability.
Develop financial models and scenarios to assess the impact of various commercial initiatives (e.g., new product launches, marketing campaigns, promotions).
Evaluate the financial impact of customer and distributor negotiations, providing strategic financial input.

Financial Planning & Strategic Decision Support:

Support the development and execution of strategic financial plans, including cost savings initiatives and growth targets.
Provide financial support and analysis for key business initiatives, including new product development, market entry strategies, and cost optimization programs.
Work closely with the senior finance leadership team to evaluate financial performance against targets and provide recommendations for improvement.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across commercial, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams to drive financial understanding and alignment.
Present financial performance and strategic insights to senior management, providing actionable recommendations and supporting key business decisions.

Process Improvement:

Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Contribute to the implementation of best practices in financial analysis and planning.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CMA, ACCA, or MBA) are preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Category Finance, or Commercial Finance roles within the FMCG sector.
- Strong experience in analyzing financial performance and supporting business decision-making in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Proven track record in partnering with commercial teams and delivering actionable financial insights that drive growth and profitability.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., financial modeling, pivot tables, advanced functions) and other financial tools/software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.).
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, profitability analysis, and cost accounting.
- Experience with BI tools and reporting platforms is a plus.
Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of FMCG industry dynamics, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and trade spend management.
- Ability to analyze complex data and distill actionable insights that support business decisions.
- Excellent commercial mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive results.
