We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of our Malaysia-based retail entities. This role is key to ensuring financial stability, optimizing cash flow, maintaining compliance, and driving strategic initiatives to support business growth. The ideal candidate will oversee financial reporting, implement best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership: Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring seamless day-to-day financial operations.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Strategic Finance: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals, working closely with operational teams to drive profitability.
Process Improvement: Enhance financial processes, improve reporting standards, and introduce best practices for greater efficiency.
Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, auditors, and external regulatory bodies.
Risk & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including the Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and Companies Act, while maintaining strong internal controls.
Collaboration & Advisory: Partner with the Head of Finance and Operations Director to support the company’s immediate and long-term financial sustainability.

Key Requirements

Degree in Accountancy, with Chartered Accountant (ACCA) certification and a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Minimum 8 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Prior experience in the retail industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and corporate compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Hands-on, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
