We're looking for a dedicated and reliable Mechanical Design Engineer (Application) to join a growing team for a market leading Automation company!

Reporting to: Head of Department
Location: Penang
Excellent remuneration and benefits package

the role

Study and understand customer requirements, liaise with customers for clarification, and conduct site visits as needed.
Develop automation machine/system concepts, collaborate with control system engineers, and create concept layouts using SolidWorks or DraftSight.
Estimate material and labor costs, prepare technical proposals, and present proposals to customers.
Provide technical support to project teams, and ensure smooth project handovers by preparing necessary information.
Identify and manage project risks, and understand the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

the experience

Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design within the Automation industry.
Good knowledge in CAD software especially SolidWorks, and AutoCad.
