Position Overview
The Managing Director will provide strategic, operational, and financial leadership to ensure the company’s growth, profitability, and sustainability while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence and client satisfaction. This role will oversee all facets of the business, including project management, financial performance, and business development, driving innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
- Drive innovation in design and construction processes to maintain a competitive edge.
Financial Management
- Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Optimize profitability by controlling costs and identifying efficiency opportunities.
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to enhance overall business performance.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily operations and provide leadership to the management team and project executives.
- Ensure that all design and build projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, fostering high performance across teams.
Business Development & Client Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Lead business development efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience within the design-build and interior design industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale interior design and construction projects.
