The Head of People Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development, optimization, and execution of workforce planning within our tech outsourcing business. You will lead the alignment of talent supply and demand, ensuring that the right tech talent is available to meet client needs. This role requires a deep understanding of both business operations and the technology landscape to ensure scalable, flexible, and efficient workforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Workforce Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive workforce planning strategies to meet both short-term and long-term client requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast staffing needs based on business growth, client demand, and market trends.
- Create agile workforce models that allow for quick response to changing project requirements and client needs.
Talent Forecasting & Resource Allocation:
- Lead forecasting efforts, ensuring the right number and type of tech professionals (developers, engineers, analysts, etc.) are available at the right time.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation, balancing internal talent needs and external client projects.
- Identify potential skills gaps and work proactively with HR and recruitment teams to address them.
Client Collaboration & Workforce Customization:
- Work closely with account managers and clients to understand project scopes, timelines, and technical requirements.
- Ensure workforce plans are tailored to specific client needs, adjusting talent sourcing strategies to meet project timelines and skill requirements.
- Provide ongoing communication with clients about workforce availability and any changes in staffing.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate workforce planning processes, identifying and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance forecasting accuracy and streamline resource management processes.
- Monitor utilization rates of the tech workforce, ensuring that capacity aligns with demand and there are no resource bottlenecks.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Use workforce analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), such as resource utilization, time-to-deploy, and talent pipeline effectiveness.
- Develop and present regular reports to leadership, offering insights into workforce trends, project fulfillment, and resource optimization.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of workforce planners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the delivery of effective workforce strategies.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment, ensuring the team works cohesively with other departments like HR, recruitment, and client-facing teams.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in workforce planning to keep the company competitive.
- Introduce innovative solutions to streamline talent management and planning processes, improving the agility and scalability of workforce deployment.
Must haves:
1. Experience in workforce planning, forecasting and demand management in a tech related company.
2. Must have atleast 7 years of experience in workforce planning, resource management.
3. Strong negotiation skills and vendor management
