The Head of Sales position will be reporting directly to the CEO. The Head of Sales is responsible for driving overall sales strategy and performance across both General Trade (GT) and Key Account channels. There are two senior managers that lead each channel and will report directly to the Head of Sales.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective sales strategy for both General Trade (GT) and Key Account (KA) Retailers.
- Set clear sales targets and growth plans for both GT distributors and key account teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee and manage relationships with GT distributors, ensuring they meet sales volume, distribution, and performance targets.
- Build and expand the distributor network across different regions to increase distribution points.
- Lead and manage key account relationships with top retailers such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and convenience stores.
- Negotiate and improve Trading Terms Agreements (TTA) with key retailers to optimize margins, promotional deals, and product placement agreements.
- Set clear objectives for the team, provide regular feedback, and create development plans to enhance their skills and performance.
- Monitor retail market trends, competitor activity, and shopper behaviour to inform strategic decisions.
Job Requirements:
- 3 to 8 years of experience in a senior sales management role, such as Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, or Head of Sales. Preferably from the FMCG industry
- Candidates with food background will have an added advantage
- In-depth knowledge of the FMCG sales landscape, including distributor management and key account management
