the role
Seeking an experienced Head of Quality to lead and drive quality assurance, control, and continuous improvement initiatives within our metal stamping and mechanical assembly operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet industry standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while fostering a strong quality culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive quality management strategies to enhance product reliability and compliance.
Establish and maintain ISO quality systems and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Lead quality assurance and control initiatives across metal stamping and mechanical assembly operations.
Act as the key liaison for quality-related discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Oversee quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities, ensuring adherence to company and customer requirements.
Implement continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize production processes.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CAPA) for quality issues and drive sustainable solutions.
Ensure strict compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
Monitor and enforce supplier quality management to maintain high incoming material standards.
Team Management & Training
Lead and mentor the quality team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Develop and implement training programs for employees on quality standards, defect prevention, and best practices.
Drive quality awareness and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all levels.
Customer & Supplier Interaction
Address customer quality concerns and implement effective resolution strategies to maintain high satisfaction.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to enhance quality performance and minimize defects.
Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure product consistency and compliance.
the experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in metal stamping or mechanical assembly.
Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP).
Proven leadership in driving continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Experience in leading audits, managing supplier quality, and implementing process improvements.
- Proficiency in Mandarin as this role requires to to serve a lot of Mandarin-speaking clients.
