We are currently looking for a Head of Product (Semiconductor Equipment) for one of the leading manufacturing equipment brands based in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

the role:
- Define and execute product strategy, objectives, and priorities in collaboration with US management.
- Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Technical Support, Sales) to drive product development, application, manufacturing, and technical support.
- Manage projects from initiation to delivery, proactively communicating progress and addressing any deviations.
- Ensure seamless communication, documentation, and release of product changes and enhancements to customers.
- Interface with upper management to secure resources, provide status updates, and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain customer product configurations, identify revenue opportunities, and support sales and marketing with value-added presentations and quote preparation.
- Review and approve product cost impact during the ECO stage.
- Analyze quality data, review warranty spending, and identify opportunities for improvement. Manage the warranty budget and enhance product reliability through statistical analysis of field failures.
- Lead escalated customer support cases through the Technical Support team, prioritizing issues, communicating status, and driving resolution.
- Review and approve internal and external 8D reports before submission to management and customers.
the experience:
- Education: BSc./BEng. degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. An MS degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development and sustaining, specifically with complex electro-mechanical systems/precision automated equipment.
- Skills: Strong matrix organization management, time management, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent communication, diplomacy, patience, and listening skills. Creative, innovative, and out-of-the-box problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of semiconductor packages/processes and manufacturing processes. Strong understanding of automation, mechatronics, and electro-pneumatic applications. Familiarity with statistical and quality tools (DFMEA, DOE, risk assessment).
