Job Overview:
The Head of Investor Relations will be responsible for managing and enhancing relationships with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive investor relations strategies to effectively communicate the company’s financial performance, growth prospects, and strategic vision to the investment community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Investor Communication & Strategy:
- Develop and implement a robust investor relations program to promote the company’s growth prospects and financial health to the investment community.
- Communicate the company’s strategy, vision, and performance clearly and promptly to analysts, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Engage with institutional investors, fund managers, and retail shareholders to maintain strong relationships and build a broader investor base.
Stock Coverage & Valuation:
- Enhance the visibility of the company by increasing analyst coverage and engaging with research houses to promote stock valuation.
- Organize regular investor meetings, roadshows, and analyst briefings to provide transparent updates on business performance.
Corporate Exercises & Compliance:
- Coordinate the execution of corporate exercises such as Rights Issues, Bonus Issues, and Bonds fund-raising initiatives in collaboration with internal and external parties.
- Ensure all corporate finance exercises are executed smoothly and in compliance with Bursa Malaysia and other relevant authorities' regulations.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices within the group.
Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing shareholders, while identifying and attracting new investors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and feedback, ensuring prompt and transparent communication.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Finance, Corporate Communications, and Legal to ensure accurate and consistent communication with the investment community.
Other Responsibilities:
- Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification.
- Professional membership (e.g., MIA) and qualification as a chartered accountant is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role, ideally in investor relations or corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, capital markets, and investment principles.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with investors and analysts.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
