The General Manager will be reporting to the CEO and will have a team of 6-8 direct reports. Our client is seeking for a strategic thinker with an entreprenuer spirit who thinks outside the box to come up with creative solutions to problems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and align with Operations Managers, Heads of Department and business associates to drive revenue growth and increase market share through various platforms, ie. negotiating for better business deals, expanding customer-based, introducing new/improvised products & services, pursuing partnership & collaborations and developing additional business avenues.
- Partner marketing and operations team to create and implement effective marketing & branding strategies, monitor brand recognition, create awareness programs to enhance brand image and drive revenue growth by retaining existing and acquiring new customers.
- Review and ensure adherence to policies guidelines & procedures, maintain accurate records, instil proper operational controls, administrative and reporting for effective management and target achievement.
- Set clear goals with performance metrics and oversee their achievement through effective leadership in attracting, managing, developing and retaining key talents.
- Collaborate with Country Head, Director of Management Services, Operations Manager and Head of Department to ensure operational standards, process efficiency, food quality and brand consistency.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in business, entrepreneurship, management, finance or related field.
- At least 10 years’ proven experience in a leadership or management role in an MNC or a Company with more than 40 outlets in Malaysia, including with min. 5 years exposure in food & beverage industry.
- Good understanding of Malaysia business environment, competitive landscape and operational challenges in F&B sector.
- Business travel and working on weekends/public holidays is required at times.
