We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team at one of the leading multinational companies in the retail space. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reports and supporting the overall financial reporting process. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/MFRS) and company policies.
   • Assist in the preparation of group consolidation reports and the accurate presentation of financial results.
   • Ensure accurate financial reporting for all retail divisions, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and variances to forecast and budget.
   • Support the preparation of management reports, including detailed analysis of profitability, expenses, and financial trends.

2. Compliance and Controls:

   • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and statutory regulations.
   • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
   • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, such as tax returns, financial statements, and other regulatory reports.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting Support:

   • Collaborate with the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
   • Provide financial analysis and support to various departments, identifying potential financial risks and recommending corrective actions.

4. Process Improvement:

   • Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team to implement more efficient financial reporting procedures.
   • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in financial reporting and accounting standards.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

   • Work closely with other departments such as Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Retail Operations to gather information and ensure accurate reporting.
   • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making for senior management and regional stakeholders.

6. Systems and Tools:

   • Utilize financial systems (ERP software, SAP, etc.) to generate reports and ensure data accuracy.
   • Participate in system upgrades or implementations as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CPA, or other professional accounting qualification is an advantage).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, preferably within the retail or FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Knowledge of retail-specific financial operations and metrics is a plus.
