Job Summary:
The role is to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and implementing compliance policies to minimize risks and uphold regulatory standards in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with local regulatory requirements.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues.
Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters, including regulatory requirements and company policies.
Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory authorities, ensuring timely submissions of reports and responses to inquiries.
Investigate and report compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of compliance-related activities, reports, and correspondence.
Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and policy documents to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with legal, risk management, and internal audit teams to strengthen compliance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance within the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of local and international insurance regulations.
Familiarity with AML/KYC policies and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in compliance-related software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, CAMS, CFE) are a plus.
