About the Role:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy, ensuring its long-term financial health, and positioning the business for growth and successful capital markets transactions. You will oversee all financial functions, including planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, with a particular focus on preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Your leadership will guide the finance team in optimizing operational efficiency, cost management, and maximizing shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Strategy Development:
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support decision-making, long-term strategic planning, and forecasting.
- Provide financial insights that will guide executive leadership in strategic initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions.
Budgeting & Budget Management:
- Oversee the preparation and management of the company’s budget, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and optimal resource allocation across departments.
- Monitor the performance of budgets to ensure adherence and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Cash Flow & Cost Management:
- Lead efforts to optimize cash flow, minimize working capital requirements, and implement effective cost-saving measures.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline operating expenses (OPEX) and improve overall operational efficiency.
Corporate Structuring & Growth:
- Lead corporate structuring and restructuring initiatives to optimize financial frameworks and support the company’s expansion.
- Analyze and provide recommendations for maximizing the company’s financial stability and scalability.
Public Market Readiness & Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and public markets, ensuring clear communication and fostering investor confidence.
- Prepare for IPO readiness, including compliance with regulatory requirements and collaboration with legal, financial, and advisory teams.
Financial Planning & Investment Analysis:
- Develop comprehensive financial plans with strategic objectives, milestones, and performance benchmarks to support the company's growth trajectory.
- Evaluate and assess investment opportunities to guide the company’s strategic direction and maximize returns.
Audit, Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure the company’s financial practices are in line with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and governance frameworks.
- Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all financial reporting.
5-Year Financial Forecasts & IPO Execution:
- Lead the preparation of detailed 5-year financial forecasts to anticipate future opportunities and challenges.
- Oversee the IPO process, from preparation through execution, ensuring alignment with market expectations and regulatory compliance.
Finance Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance team that supports organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role with exposure to IPO preparation, public markets, and capital markets transactions.
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Deep understanding of corporate structuring, audit compliance, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on public market operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing investor relations and dealing with high-level stakeholders.
- A track record of optimizing operational efficiency and managing cash flow in large organizations.
