- Oversee, operate, and maintain electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, switchgears, transformers, and power distribution units.
- Conduct routine inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and take corrective actions to maintain a continuous power supply.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to schedule maintenance and repair activities.
- Keep accurate records of electrical operations, maintenance activities, and inspection logs.
- Perform risk assessments, lead safety briefings, and enforce safe work procedures within the team.
- Support energy management initiatives aimed at reducing power consumption and enhancing sustainability.
skills and experience required
- At least a Chargeman BO certified by the Energy Commission of Malaysia
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HV operation and maintenance, preferably within in a retail environment
- Practical experience in managing both major and routine electrical shutdowns
- Well versed in Electricity Supply Act, Suruhanjaya Tenaga Regulations, IEE Wiring Regulations
- Able to be on call and respond promptly to emergency situations at the shopping mall
