Overview:

The Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) – Group Finance plays a pivotal role in supporting the Deputy Vice President of Finance (Group) in overseeing key financial operations at the national level. This position is instrumental in ensuring prompt and precise reporting, enhancing intercompany reconciliations, and upholding compliance with investor reporting obligations throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Financial Closure & Reporting (Acting as Country Finance Manager):
- Oversee monthly financial closing, operations, accounting, reporting, and compliance activities, effectively serving as the Acting Country Finance Manager on behalf of the Deputy VP of Finance.
- Guarantee the timely and accurate preparation and review of month-end closures, management reports, and essential financial deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Country Finance Teams to ensure adherence to Group reporting standards and internal controls.
Intercompany Balance Reconciliation:
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances to ensure precise eliminations during Group Consolidation.
- Detect and address discrepancies in intercompany transactions and balances across various entities.
- Coordinate with Country Finance Managers to align financial records among subsidiaries.
Investor Reporting & Compliance:
- Act as the primary contact for investor reporting, ensuring all monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting requirements are fulfilled.
- Prepare and consolidate reports required by investors and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with investor agreements and financial disclosure mandates.
Financial Process Enhancement & Business-as-Usual Support:
- Aid in standardizing and improving efficiency in financial processes across all entities.
- Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis at the Group level.
- Support internal control compliance requirements, collaborating closely with internal auditors.
- Serve as a liaison between Group Finance and Country Finance Managers, ensuring seamless execution of financial tasks.
- Address any ad hoc requests assigned periodically by finance leadership.
