We are currently looking for GL Accountant, who will report to the Finance manager to support migration of new countries and stablizing the internal process.

about the job

Assist with journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely posting to the general ledger.
Support the month-end and year-end closing process by preparing reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies and supporting the resolution process.
Calculate intercompany recharges and manage recharge process.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for management and auditors.
Help maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation for financial reporting, ensuring that all records are ready for internal and external audits.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting of transactions and compliance with internal controls.
Prepare indirect tax (e.g. VAT / GST / SST) submissions and Corporate Income Tax returns for countries in APAC
Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities

it'll be good if you are

experience in both Shared Service environment and commercial company
local Malaysia resident (must)
interested with project exposure
degree in accounting is preferrable
good knowledge in end-to-end processes for Record-to-Report (RTR)
knowledge in handling accounts / group consolidation would be an advantage
experienced in audit OR owning an accounting related professional membership would be an advantage
