Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, sales analysis, and other required reports.
- Handle tax-related matters, including tax returns, tax estimates, and withholding tax.
- Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements, including financial audits and tax reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Support other departments, such as sales and operations, by providing financial analysis and insights for decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including bankers, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
- Manage ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned, such as applications for new banking facilities.
- Report directly to the Head of Group Accounts and Finance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2016, accounting standards (MFRS), and tax legislation, including the Income Tax Act.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision
